Boat Access for Surveys & Inspections
FPS Pontoon Hire provides practical boat access for engineers, surveyors and inspection teams working on rivers, canals, docks, reservoirs and other inland waters. The craft and crew arrangement is selected around the site, task, personnel, equipment and operating conditions.
Typical work includes bridge and culvert inspections, quay and harbour wall surveys, bathymetric and environmental surveys, drainage and outfall inspections, photographic surveys and general engineering access.
Operated Boat Hire
Where required, FPS can provide a suitable boat with competent operatives to launch, operate, reposition and recover the craft throughout the working period. This allows the client inspection team to concentrate on the survey while FPS manages the agreed boat operation.
Work Boat or Dedicated Safety Boat?
A work boat used for inspection access is not automatically a dedicated safety boat. Where separate rescue cover is required by the project risk assessment or client controls, FPS can review the requirement and provide an appropriate safety-boat arrangement as a separate function.
