Self-Collection Pontoon Hire

Flexible modular pontoon hire for approved customers collecting and returning equipment from our Lancashire yard.

Collect Modular Pontoons from Our Yard

FPS Pontoon Hire offers self-collection of modular pontoon equipment for suitable customers with the correct transport, lifting arrangements, competent personnel and an approved installation plan.

FPS can provide guidance on the agreed equipment list, collection appointment, loading, hire period and return requirements.

When Self-Collection Is Suitable

  • Approved competent customers
  • Suitable vehicles, trailers and payloads
  • Pre-arranged loading and collection
  • Straightforward pontoon configurations
  • Agreed assembly, return and damage responsibilities

Planning & Responsibilities

Self-collection is assessed for each enquiry and is not suitable for every project. Installation, stability, restraint, access and safe use must be covered by the agreed responsibilities and project documentation.

What You Can Collect

Self-collection suits straightforward arrangements such as small work platforms, short walkways and event pontoons, where the customer has the people and experience to build and use them safely. Pontoon floats, connectors, edge protection and agreed accessories can be supplied for collection.

Loading & Transport

Collections are booked in advance from our yard at Windmill Farm, Back Lane, Weeton, Preston, PR4 3HS. We load to an agreed equipment list. You are responsible for making sure your vehicle and trailer are suitable for the load, that it is correctly secured and that the driver is licensed to tow it.

Assembly, Use & Return

We can give guidance on the agreed layout and assembly sequence before collection. Once the equipment has left the yard, installation, restraint, access and safe use on site are the customer’s responsibility under the hire terms. Equipment should be returned clean, complete and at the agreed time, with any damage or missing items reported.

When Delivery & Installation Is Better

For larger platforms, higher loads, scaffold towers, plant, difficult access or flowing water, a delivered and installed hire is usually the better option. FPS can then plan the configuration, installation, restraint and water safety for you. See Pontoon Delivery, Installation & Project Process.
