Where conventional access from the edge is impractical, a temporary floating platform can provide a defined working area for contractors, surveyors and maintenance teams.

The pontoon can be configured around the available opening, working area, personnel, equipment and access route. Each project is assessed individually because tank geometry, water depth, confined-space controls and site operating requirements can vary significantly.

Any confined-space or process-specific controls remain subject to the project risk assessment and responsible specialist contractors. Where required, the pontoon arrangement can also be supported by temporary works design and stability calculations.
