Project Overview
FPS Pontoon Hire received a Monday enquiry for a pontoon installation required at Canary Wharf by Wednesday.
The project formed part of a large residential development and required a temporary floating walkway to support concrete shuttering works beside the water.
Short-Notice Mobilisation
The restricted programme meant the platform had to be prepared, transported and installed within a short mobilisation window.
FPS supplied the modular walkway and coordinated the installation so the assembled system could be craned into position at the busy construction site.
Temporary Construction Access
Modular pontoons can provide temporary routes and working areas where waterside construction limits conventional access. Depending on the site, systems can be installed from the bank, assembled in the water or lifted into position as a planned operation.

The Outcome
The walkway was delivered and installed within the requested programme. FPS was subsequently commissioned to provide additional pontoon systems for a later phase of the development.
